WHAT WE BELIEVE & TEACH

Regarding the Scripture:

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be verbally inspired of God, and the supreme and final authority in faith and life.  (2 Timothy. 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:21)

Regarding the Godhead:

We believe in One God, eternally existing in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19)

Regarding Jesus Christ:

We believe Jesus Christ to be true God and true Man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin, Mary.  (John 1:1, 14; Luke 1:35)

Regarding Man:

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thus incurred both physical and spiritual death (separation from God).  As a result ALL human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in need of regeneration.  (Romans 3:9-19, 23; 5:12)

Regarding Salvation:

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice and thus paid the penalty for sin.  all who believe in Him and receive Him as Savior are justified on the grounds of His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection.  (1 Corinthians 15:3; Romans 4:5; 5:6, 8-10; Col. 1:14, 20-21; 1 Peter 3:18; 2:24)  We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ on the third day, His ascension into heaven, and His present advocacy as our High Priest.  (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; Matthew 28:6, 7; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1)  We believe in the eternal security of the believers.  (John 3:16; 10:27-29; 6:39, 40; Hebrews 9:12)  We believe that all who receive by faith Jesus Christ as Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God justified by faith without works.  (Romans 4:5; John 1:12; 3:16; 1 Peter 1:23-25)

Regarding the Christ’s Return:

We believe in the second coming of Christ – imminent, personal, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial – to rapture the Church unto Himself.  (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Regarding the Resurrection of the Dead:

We believe that the spirits of the saved at death go immediately to be with Christ in Heaven; that at His second coming they will be bodily resurrected, judged, and rewarded; that the spirits of the unsaved at death descend immediately into Hell until the final day of judgment, at which time their bodies shall be raised from the grave, judged, and cast into the Lake of Fire, the final and everlasting punishment.  (Luke 16:22, 23; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:5, 6, 11-15)

Regarding the Church:

We believe that the local church, comprised of born again, baptized believers, was established by Christ for fellowship, worship and fulfillment of the Great Comission.  (Acts 2:42-47; 13:1-4, Matthew 28:18-20)

We believe that the spiritual ordinances given to the local church are baptism by immersion of believers only, and the Lord’s Supper to be partaken by obedient Christians.  (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

Regarding Satan:

We believe in the existence of Satan, the deceiver and god of this present world; that he was defeated and judged at the cross, and therefore his final doom is certain.  (Genesis 3:14-19; 2 Corinthian 4:4; Ephesians 2:2; Revelation 20:10)

Regarding Separation:

We believe in separation – separation from sin and worldliness in the personal lives of the saved and separation from all organizations which deny the “faith once delivered to the saints.” (1 John 2:15-17; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
